Location: Newport Beach, CA — This is a primarily in-office role based in one of Southern California's premier professional markets. After 90 days, hybrid scheduling is available for attorneys who have settled into the team and caseload.

Note: Candidates must hold an active California Bar license and have a minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience. Personal injury litigation experience is required or strongly preferred. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Manage an active civil litigation caseload, including personal injury and construction defect matters, from intake through resolution
  • Propound and respond to written discovery: interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses
  • Draft and argue law and motion matters, including demurrers, motions for summary judgment, and other dispositive filings
  • Appear in court for hearings, case management conferences, and other scheduled proceedings
  • Communicate directly and professionally with clients to provide updates, set expectations, and maintain strong relationships
  • Manage case timelines, deadlines, and litigation strategy with attention to detail and efficiency
  • Collaborate with supervising attorneys and support staff to advance cases toward favorable resolution

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active California Bar license (required)
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience (required)
  • Personal injury litigation experience (required or strongly preferred)
  • Construction defect litigation experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with depositions, court appearances, written discovery, and law and motion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple active matters independently while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
