ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Financial Analyst role is instrumental in supporting the organization's financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. This position involves in-depth financial modeling, data interpretation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insights that drive strategic initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
- Analyze historical financial data and market trends to project future performance.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Contribute to regular forecasting exercises, providing insights into variances and potential risks.
- Analyze financial data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights to management for informed decision-making.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to internal and external parties.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to gather relevant financial information and insights.
- Work closely with business units to understand their financial needs and challenges.
- As the role progresses, they will require less supervision and evolve to take on more strategic roles in financial planning and analysis, such as:
- Participation in strategic planning initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Assume a mentorship role for junior financial analysts, sharing expertise and guiding professional development.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational background : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Years of experience : 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis/preferably in a corporate finance or US based enterprise.
- Communications skills (English Proficiency) : Strong written and verbal communication skills, rated at least 7/10.
- MS Office applications proficiency required / desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel with a rating of at least 9/10.Advance proficiency – Complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, data visualization techniques.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with FP&A software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
