Job Description:
The Finance Director at OPE provides strategic financial leadership and oversees all financial activities of the company. The role ensures strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, and sustainable financial performance in support of the company's long-term objectives. As a member of the executive management team, the Finance Director works closely with senior leadership and the Board to drive value creation, optimize capital allocation, and support informed strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting functions including taxes, accounts payable, fixed assets, and special projects.
- Analyze and improve company processes and maximize ROI by optimizing several areas of operation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and compliance with local and international regulations.
- Develop financial strategies that align with the company's long-term business goals.
- Oversee the preparation of the company's financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows.
- Manage the capital structure of the company, determining the best mix of debt, equity, and internal financing.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards and stay abreast of changes in financial laws and regulations.
- Direct the company's budgeting process, including setting financial targets, performance monitoring, and adjusting strategies, as necessary.
- Lead the finance team, including accountants, financial analysts, and other finance-related personnel, and provide them with direction and professional development.
- Conduct risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Engage in investor relations, communicating with shareholders, and providing accurate and timely information to the investment community.
- Implement and oversee financial systems, processes, and technologies to improve financial data analysis and reporting efficiency.
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team, contribute a financial perspective to strategic planning and decision making.
- Negotiate with banks and other financial services providers to secure favorable terms for financing and banking services.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and capital projects.
- Devise an accurate and automatic weekly reporting system for company finances.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Board of Directors and executives, able to justify time- and cost-saving short term expenses with compelling long-term projections.
- Manage all aspects of annual financial audit and quarterly reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- At least 15 years of experience in Accounting & Finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
