Purpose of the job
Seeking a skilled Technician to Perform & execute Quality of Service (QoS) benchmarking and Radio Measurement campaigns for Voice, VoLTE, and Data services across 2G/3G/4G/5G technologies services. The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate the end-to-end customer experience as well as Network performance, identify network quality issues, and assess our competitive market positioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing clear, high-quality measurement logfiles that directly contribute to ensuring superior service quality Provided by our network.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive Radio Measurements for Voice, VoLTE, and Data (2G/3G/4G/5G), including Over-The-Top (OTT) application testing.
- Execute various testing methodologies including Driving, Walking, and Pinpointing measurements.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, specifically the capability to drive and perform measurements simultaneously.
- Monitor readings continuously during measurement campaigns to ensure data integrity.
- Operate and troubleshoot industry-standard measuring tools, including TEMS Investigation, TEMS Paragon, Keysight NEMO BACKPAC, SwissQual, and TEMS Pockets.
- Identify abnormal network behaviors or tool malfunctions immediately.
- Handle all types of failures related to connectivity issues during fieldwork.
- Create measurement Work Orders and Scripts for various testing scenarios.
- Proactively self-learn and develop skills using tool manuals and technical documentation.
- Take full ownership of all assigned tasks and project scopes, ensuring delivery within requested timelines.
Job specification
Education
- University or Technical Institute Graduate.
Skills and abilities
- Good Understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network architectures, VoLTE, and main key performance indicators
- Good proficiency with computer hardware/software and mobile handsets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- High sense of ownership, dedication, and excellent planning/organization skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong reporting capabilities.
- Valid Driving License with high driving proficiency (min. 10 Years driving)
- Good proficiency with computer hardware/software and mobile handsets
- Experience in Technical reporting and analysis of network data.
