Purpose of the job

Manage the team responsible for ICT strategic projects.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Monitors build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring overall ICT projects quality.
  • Establishes the ICT projects plan baseline, define project scope, secure the necessary resources, and plans and monitor all activities.
  • Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own tasks.
  • Ensures alignment between clients, stakeholders, and project managers to maintain project progress.
  • Manages customer relationship by building confidence, trust and ensure project progress arranging meetings and customer events.
  • Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion.
  • Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.
  • Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project and during the project implementation.
  • Manages external partnerships and contracts with different agencies for program delivery when needed.
  • Drive project execution, track project activities, monitor deadlines and milestones, handle changes, conflicts, and critical issues.
  • Handles project financials ensuring financial monitoring.
  • Participate in contract preparation and to pre-sales meetings.
  • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor project performance and determine the need for improvements.
  • Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people.
  • Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed.
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Keeps top management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.

Job specification

Education

  • ICT University graduate     

Experience

  • Min 5 years of work experience including 2 years in a similar position.

Skills and abilities

  • Can foster a sense of team spirit within different departments.
  • Communicates well and relays information in a timely manner.
  • Has good budgeting skills and can reduce costs without making adjustments that would affect quality.
  • Knows what is required for a particular project to be completed and has realistic expectations as far as meeting deadlines go.
  • Possesses good math skills and can make accurate calculations quickly and easily.
  • Has good leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work under tight scheduling.
