Purpose of the job

  • Supervise all activities related to RAN Network Modifications & Running Quality Analysis processes through working on different RAN technologies (2G, 3G & 4G) (Huawei vendor).

Duties and responsibilities :-

  • Supervise all RAN activities within the NOC team, responsible for 2nd line support, RAN performance, investigating and troubleshooting all problems affecting RAN.
  • Approve major and urgent actions from different technology teams after assessing risks and priorities.
  • Monitoring Network KPIs for all technologies (2G, 3G & 4G), using U2020 and PRS tools and start troubleshooting if any degradation appeared.
  • Troubleshooting with other technology teams (TX, field maintenance, rollout, optimization..etc.) to solve any KPIs degradation detected during hourly monitoring for network KPIs.
  • Getting updated with latest S/W version/corrective patches and checking the validation status with Orange skill center
  • Being the main interface with vendor for any new H/W or S/W introduction that will solve operational problems.
  • Validating new S/W release (to be applied in Orange) from operations point of view in cooperation with Orange skill center
  • Suggesting solutions/workarounds for existing technical problems
  • Responsible for following-up problems reported from NTRA quarterly reports and coordinate with other teams in order to have fast resolution for such issues.
  • In-depth analysis for encountered complicated technical problems and evaluating different workarounds to solve such problems
  • Managing opened trouble tickets [TACs] with vendor including steps of problem solution, actions for prevention and recommendations,
  • Analyzing VIP & customer complains related to voice & data for complicated technical issues by advanced investigations and analyzing available information to define optimum solution before assigning it to the concerned team.
  • Responsible for reporting any violation in the vendor performance and advising with suitable corrective actions.

Job specification

Education

  • B.Sc. in Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering.

Experience

  • More than 2 years experience in the same field.
  • 3 years experience in telecommunications.

Skills and abilities

  • Excellent knowledge in 2G/3G/4G technologies.
  • Very Good Computer skills.
