purpose of the job
Responsible for evaluating, monitoring and troubleshooting all the performance aspects of the services carried over the Data Network, End to End, across/from the Data Network perspective.
Duties and responsibilities
- Data Network E2E Quality of Service Health Check Reporting.
- Build the database for all network elements across the network.
- Handling Quality Incidents and Complaints related to data network.
- E2E Service Reports/Dashboards creation/development, analysis and troubleshooting across the data network.
- Handling/Supporting during TX/Service outages.
- Achieve and maintain a high QoS level of the data network and ensure high quality performance while Identifying areas of enhancement proactively.
- Monitor, audit and report the data network links/nodes performance and availability through daily/weekly/ monthly assessment reports.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot and isolate failures related to data network nodes, provide proactive recommendation to enhance performance.
- Service Delay and Packet loss analysis & troubleshooting mile by mile across the data network.
- Audit the performance and availability parameters, ensuring optimum values.
- Establish a direct relationship between the customer experience & the data network performance issues to interpret/correlate the impact of such issues on customer experience.
- Interact with all departments and vendors to ensure all issues to be addressed from data network.
- Identify and perform diagnosis & investigations of data network problems that directly impact customers.
- Fill the gaps between the different technology teams and act as a liaison between them to reach the best E2E customer journey.
job specification
EDUCATION
- B.Sc. in telecommunication and electronics engineering.
- CCNP Certificate, CCIE or Service Provider is a plus.
Experience
- 3-5 Years in Core Networks and telecom field.
- Good knowledge in GSM/3G/LTE Architecture.
- Good knowledge in VAS, SDM/HLR, IN Architecture.
- Good knowledge in Packet Core (MME/PCRF/SGSGN/GGSN/.. )
- Solid knowledge of data network concepts and devices; IP networks, MPLS, Traffic Engineering
- Good Experience in Routing & Switching (OSPF, BGP).
- Aware of IP QoS, congestion management, traffic policing & shaping and QoS best practices.
- Good knowledge of network elements administration and management concepts including SNMP, Network Telemetry, KPIs, and translating MIB files
- Hands on experience in Cisco and Juniper Nodes.
- Good knowledge in scripting.
