About the job Senior System Administration Engineer
Purpose of the job
Lead design and administration of secure, scalable Linux/UNIX-based systems across public/private cloud and telco environments. Support automation, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure resilience while collaborating across IT and engineering domains.
Duties and responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage hybrid infrastructure across public, private, and Telco clouds
- Administer Linux/UNIX systems with a focus on performance, security, and automation
- Deploy and manage virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenStack) and SDN/SDS solutions
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for consistent configuration management
- Manage multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a focus on cost optimization and resilience
- Support container orchestration and telecom applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift (5G, MEC)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and serverless deployments
- Enforce security architecture (Zero Trust, RBAC) and ensure compliance standards are met
- Configure and troubleshoot networking, identity, and storage architecture
- Maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Deploy and monitor observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK Stack)
- Collaborate on OSS/BSS integration and Telco orchestration (ONAP, ETSI MANO)
- Document processes and provide mentorship on emerging infrastructure technologies
Job specification
Education
Bachelors in communication engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience
6+ years in system administration, including multi-cloud and telecom infrastructure
Must-Have Skills
- Cloud architecture (Public, Private, Telco: AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- CI/CD, serverless, security & compliance (Zero Trust)
- Kubernetes, NFV/CNF/VNF, and Telco orchestration (ONAP, ETSI MANO)
- SDN, storage solutions, OpenStack, VMware
- Disaster recovery, observability, and OSS/BSS integration
Good-to-Have Skills
Red Hat Linux
- RHEL admin, package & file system management, firewall, networking, automation
- Troubleshooting, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible for sysadmin tasks
OpenShift
- Cluster and storage management, CI/CD (Tekton, Jenkins), RBAC, logging (EFK), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), Operators, ACM/ACS
VMware
- vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS, distributed networking, storage, lifecycle management, and performance tuning
