Purpose of the job

Coordination between Transmission platforms and across Technology teams to support B2B, ELOB and Fixed Network New / Upgrade requests, tracking progress, and leading communication with Commercial teams to transform Fixed requirements into technical solutions.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Act as interface with commercial teams to support launching enterprise and B2B accounts.
  • Lead Technology teams within projects related to Triple Play (New & Upgrade).
  • Follow up the implementation of fixed data network projects: New PoPs, Service migration, DSL and capacity.
  • Manage and control all communications across Technology teams and other stakeholders in different departments for fixed network related tasks.
  • Follow up the installations of infrastructure needed for fixed network demands.
  • Project management role and organize resources allocation, schedule and performance within transmission domains.
  • Performance control and make weekly, monthly reports/dashboard highlighting the achieved milestones, KPIs achieved or impacted and risks.
  • Escalate problems and risks that may affect the progress on time.
  • Periodic tracking and monitoring for installed equipment in existing PoPs to guarantee efficient and optimum use of resources, and facilitate forecast of required of HW for future upgrades.
  • Follow up technicians and supervise them during actions to guarantee smooth execution and solve any technical obstacle.
  • Monitor Fixed network capacity regularly to ensure efficient use of Transmission capacity, release unnecessary HW and LL whenever possible.

  • Act as interface with Quality-of-Service team to solve congestion problems.
  • Investigate Transmission problems E2E and follow up corrective actions.
  • Determine TX Actions priority according to available budget.
  • Act as interface with commercial teams to support launching enterprise and B2B accounts.
  • Follow up the implementation of fixed data network MW projects.
  • Interface with regulatory teams for NTRA approvals related to Enterprise MW project.
  • Manage and control all communications across Technology teams and other stakeholders in different departments for Enterprise MW project related tasks.
  • Project management role and organize resources allocation, schedule and performance within transmission domains.
  • Lead Technology teams during MW survey process for Enterprise MW project.
  • Escalate problems and risks that may affect the progress on time.
  • Prepare technical sheet (LER, Channel Spacing, frequency band) for new MW B2B accounts.

Job specification

Education

  • B.Sc. Electrical Engineering: Electronics and Communication.

Experience

  • At least 3 years in fixed network equipment planning and dimensioning.

Skills and abilities

  • Good background of GSM.
  • Experience in handling technician teams on site.
  • Background of IP traffic design and dimensioning.
  • Project management and presentation skills.
  • Able to make a significant contribution in a team environment.
  • Highly initiative and highly self-motivated by cooperation and collaboration.
  • Flexible and adaptive to changes in requirements.
