Academy of Learning Career College (AOLCC) is seeking a highly qualified Learning Coach to join our team of education professionals for our North York Campus. As a Learning Coach, you will play a critical role in the success of our college in helping to our adult learners achieve their goals

We are looking for an individual who are passionate about education, possess a recognized Degree or Diploma, and have a strong background in academic, IT, and customer service competencies. As a Learning Coach at AOLCC, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment that supports independent learning activities while providing personalized one-on-one support to our learners.

Schedule Weekends + three weekdays.

Working Environment This role enjoys a mix of working from home and on-campus days. The current expectation is 2 days at Campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to adult learners as they progress through self-directed courses, including IT-related support
  • Gain an understanding of course content to assist learners effectively
  • Perform administrative duties, such as ordering materials, entering student data, generating reports, welcoming visitors, answering telephones, corresponding with various parties, monitoring student attendance, and handling student records
  • Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for learners
  • Distribute and proctor Practical Exams as required
  • Coach adult learners on exam preparation and good study habits
  • Prepare soon-to-be graduates for the realities of re-entering the workforce once they complete their studies

Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma from a recognized Canadian institution (international qualifications may be considered equivalent)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Familiarity with IT and related software/hardware support
  • Willingness to learn and quickly acquire the Academy of Learning Facilitator Certification by successfully completing all required exams within a specified timeframe
  • Passion for education
  • Experience working with adults in an educational environment (asset)
  • Experience working in a Private Career College or other education environment, preferably as a teaching assistant or facilitator (asset)
  • Ability to speak Hindi, considered an asset
