About the job Sales Representative

Sales Representative

About the role:

The primary focus of this role is to respond to incoming customer
interest, schedule site inspections and estimates, follow up with prospects after estimates are delivered, and convert qualified leads into booked work.

You will serve as a central point of coordination between prospective customers, the estimator, and company leadership. The individual will be responsible for answering inbound inquiries promptly, maintaining accurate lead records, monitoring follow-up deadlines, and ensuring every prospect is handled efficiently, consistently, and professionally

Key Responsibilities

1. Inbound Lead Management

  • - Respond promptly to warm inbound leads from marketing channels such as the company website, referrals, Yelp, Thumbtack, and similar platforms.
  • - Answer incoming calls and inquiries, gather key project details, and assess whether the lead is a fit for the company's services.
  • - Maintain clear, professional communication with prospective customers from first contact through to close.
Ensure no inbound inquiry goes unanswered, so that incoming interest is never lost.
  • Cold calling or outbound prospecting (not required at the moment).

    2. Estimator and Inspection Coordination
  • - Schedule an inspector to visit the customer's site and gather the job information
    needed for an estimate.
  • - Coordinate schedules between customers and the inspector, confirming appointments
    and communicating any changes.
  • - Provide the estimator with accurate lead information and customer details before
    each visit.
  • - Keep the sales role separate from estimating, so that estimating work is not delayed
    by sales tasks.
  • - Maintain clear communication with the estimator on the status and timing of each
    estimate.

3. Prospect Follow-Up and Closing

  • - Follow up with customers after the estimator completes the estimate, answering
    questions and addressing concerns.
  • - Track each prospect's status and next follow-up date to make sure no opportunity is
    left outstanding.
  • - Support customers in moving from estimate to a decision, and coordinate next steps
    once a customer accepts.
  • - Escalate pricing questions, negotiations, or complex matters to management when
    appropriate.
  • - Record the outcome of each lead, including reasons for lost opportunities, to support
    future improvement.

4. Lead Tracking and Reporting

  • - Maintain accurate records of all leads, estimates, follow-ups, and outcomes in the
    company's designated systems.
  • - Monitor lead response times, follow-up deadlines, and conversion from inquiry to
    estimate to booked job.
  • - Provide management with regular updates on pipeline activity, lead sources, and sales
    results.
  • - Identify which marketing channels produce the strongest leads and share those insights
    with leadership.

5. Sales Process Development

  • - Review the existing lead-handling and follow-up workflow and identify gaps,
    inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • - Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inbound lead
    response, estimate scheduling, and follow-up.
  • - Recommend practical improvements to help the company scale its sales coverage as
lead volume and the business grow.
  • - Work collaboratively with management to establish clear, repeatable, and efficient
    sales processes.
