Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer with around 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Azure services, backend recovery, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Microsoft Sentinel, Active Directory, and data management. This role will involve supporting the design, deployment, and management of Azure cloud infrastructure, along with assisting in the implementation of security measures and backup strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Cloud Infrastructure:

  • Assist in the design, deployment, and management of Azure cloud infrastructure to support business applications and services.
  • Help implement and maintain Azure services including Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Backup.
  • Monitor and ensure the availability and reliability of cloud environments through configuration and regular checks.

Security and Compliance:

  • Support the implementation and management of Microsoft Defender for Cloud to safeguard against threats.
  • Utilize Microsoft Entra ID to assist in managing and securing user identities and access.
  • Help configure and manage Microsoft Sentinel for basic threat detection and incident response.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with industry standards, including data protection and privacy regulations.

Backup and Recovery:

  • Aid in the development and implementation of backup and disaster recovery strategies for Azure environments.
  • Perform regular backups and assist in recovery tests and failover procedures to maintain data integrity.

Active Directory and Identity Management:

  • Support the management of Azure Active Directory and on-premises Active Directory environments.
  • Assist in ensuring smooth integration and synchronization between on-premises and cloud directories.
  • Help with identity and access management solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Data Management:

  • Utilize Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance management.
  • Assist in implementing data classification, labeling, and protection policies.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate cloud operations.
  • Assist in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure effective integration and operation of cloud services.
  • Provide second and third-level support for Azure-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems as needed.

AWS Integration (Advantageous):

  • Support the integration of AWS services with Azure deployments where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, including experience in backend recovery, security, and identity management.
  • Familiarity with AWS is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in core Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure AD, and Backup and Recovery.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, and Purview.
  • Experience with Active Directory, both on-premises and Azure AD.
  • Competency in scripting with PowerShell and some experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
