The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in IT, with extensive knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, development, and integrations across various modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HR, and CMDB. This role requires a deep technical understanding of the ServiceNow platform, combined with leadership and strategic planning abilities to drive platform success across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Lead the architecture and design of complex ServiceNow solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions using the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and strategies for ServiceNow implementations and integrations.
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, ensuring optimal platform performance and maintainability.

Platform Customization and Development:

  • Oversee the customization of ServiceNow applications and modules, leveraging platform capabilities such as workflows, scripts, business rules, and UI policies.
  • Lead development efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and configurations that meet project requirements.
  • Guide technical teams on ServiceNow development, including custom application creation, automation, and integration.

Integration and Data Strategy:

  • Design and implement ServiceNow integrations with third-party applications, including legacy systems, cloud platforms, and external databases.
  • Develop data models, workflows, and APIs to ensure smooth data exchange between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Manage data within the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to ensure accuracy and reliability of infrastructure data.

Governance and Best Practices:

  • Define and implement ServiceNow architectural standards, governance policies, and best practices across the platform.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL, ITSM, and other relevant frameworks during solution design and development.
  • Regularly review platform performance, security, and usability, recommending and implementing improvements where necessary.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and align ServiceNow architecture with business goals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance during the platform development lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are aligned with the business's strategic objectives.

Performance and Optimization:

  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring the system is responsive and scalable.
  • Implement platform upgrades, patches, and security enhancements, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Use analytics and monitoring tools to provide visibility into platform performance, ensuring efficiency and resolving bottlenecks.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Lead and mentor ServiceNow development teams, providing guidance on technical best practices, architecture, and platform solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Drive technical innovation, keeping the organization at the forefront of ServiceNow capabilities.

Documentation and Knowledge Management:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all ServiceNow architecture and development activities, including design specifications, workflows, and integration points.
  • Ensure that all solutions are documented and that the architecture is easily understood by stakeholders and team members.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge repositories for continuous learning and improvement of platform practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10+ years in IT, with at least 5 years dedicated to ServiceNow architecture and solution design.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HR, CMDB).

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including scripting, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs), data models, and ServiceNow development tools.
  • Expertise in ITIL processes and implementation within ServiceNow.
  • Architecture & Solution Design:
  • Deep experience in enterprise architecture, ServiceNow platform design, and solution roadmaps.
  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable ServiceNow architectures that align with business goals.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and mentoring ServiceNow development teams.
  • Strong leadership in aligning ServiceNow solutions with organizational strategy.
  • Certifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Certified Implementation Specialist preferred.
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:
