NPI Engineer – (Electro-Optical Systems)

Location: Tel Aviv

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced engineer with a deep technical aptitude to lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for advanced multi-disciplinary electro-optical systems.
This position reports to the head of Optics & Physics, who leads technological developments and broad R&D within the company. This is an opportunity to take an active role in validating and building next-generation products—from initial R&D design through to mass production—while working in close collaboration with physics, optics, electronics, software, and mechanics teams.

Responsibilities

  • NPI Leadership: Lead end-to-end NPI processes for complex electro-optical products.
  • R&D Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D team during early design stages to ensure Design for Scalability (DFS).
  • Process & Tooling Development: Characterize, develop, and implement test fixtures, optical calibration procedures, and assembly processes on the production line.
  • Alignment & Measurement: Define measurement tools and System Alignment / BSI (Boresight Alignment) processes for optical and electro-optical systems.
  • Documentation & Validation: Define Bills of Materials (BOMs), author assembly and testing instructions, and lead System Validation & Verification (V&V) processes on the production line, including transfer to subcontractors and manufacturing plants locally and globally.
  • Failure Analysis: Perform root cause analysis for complex system-level failures during initial production stages and deliver engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Optical Engineering, Physics, or Electronic Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of optical systems, lasers, detectors, and electro-optical packaging.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary R&D environment (Optics, Mechanics, Electronics, Software).
  • Hands-on experience in defining optical/electronic calibration and test fixtures.
  • High proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Advantages

  • Proven experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) for electro-optical products.
