Cable Technologist / Wiring Production Engineer

Job Description:A production engineer responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing production and assembly processes
in the field of cables, harnesses, and wiring systems in multidisciplinary
products. The role includes working closely with the development, production,
and quality departments, in order to ensure a smooth transition
Job Requirements
Education: Electrical, electronic, mechanical, or manufacturing engineer/engineer.
Years of experience required: 5+ years of practical experience in manufacturing or designing harnesses and communication/power/control cables
Main duties and tasks in the role:
1. Designing, writing, and reviewing production files (Harness Drawings, Cable Assemblies, Wiring Diagrams, BOMs).
2. Defining assembly, soldering, testing, and marking processes in accordance with sample standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-610).
3. Preparation of production aids and electrical tests (continuity, insulation, polarity, resistance testing)
4. Handling ongoing production engineering: ECO changes, adjustments to production and cost reduction processes (Cost Reduction).
5. Accompanying subcontractors and suppliers in the field of wiring and cables, including quality control and manufacturer surveys.
6. Analyzing faults from the field and leading applicable engineering solutions to improve reliability.
Background in the following areas is required:
1. Mastery of wiring drawings (Cable Assembly, Harness Layout) and drawing software
2. Familiarity with IPC-620, MIL-DTL, NASA-STD-8739 or aviation/security standards.
3. Experience with crimp, solder, potting, marking, shielding, and testing processes
4. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and translate requirements into production documentation.
5. Practical experience in assembling multidisciplinary assemblies
