Sourcing Executive Role

The ideal candidate is excited to take end-to-end ownership of the sourcing process, researching alternative suppliers by reaching the best price with the desired quality and on time, and ensuring the coordination of the relations to be maintained both within the company and with the supplier companies during this supply process, solving the problems that may occur in quality, price, delivery and orders within the coordination of the Supplier Company and Opontia.

Responsibilities

• Finding out new alternative suppliers in order to enlarge the supplier pool and reach the best price with the desired quality and the most reasonable commercial conditions.
• Negotiating with suppliers in order to determine new prices in accordance with market conditions and the budget of the company.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to manage the costs by following up the market closely to generate savings and provide competitive pricing.
• Also maintain the current product quality and supply chain conditions or develop them if it is necessary.
• Perform purchase price analysis, understand volume & technic specifications, and coordinate them with stakeholders such as planning, Quality, and Production.
• Determine the price mechanism of the suppliers in order to prevent unpredictable price changes and to catch the opportunities for price decrease/stabling prices.
• Negotiate the best commercial conditions through making good contract management with the suppliers by having the best price, desired lead time, and product quality.
• Ensure the supplier's the production and delivery performance are stabilized by adding the necessary contract terms.
• Develop supplier partnerships to identify and develop ongoing total cost reductions.
• Managing the supplier assessment process in accordance with the related departments and checking the performance of the suppliers.

Requirements

• Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering/ Business Administration or relevant fields,
• Minimum 3 -4 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in cosmetics production or in purchasing cosmetic products,
• Fluency in Turkish and English; knowledge of German is a plus,
• Analytical thinking, high persuasiveness, and result-oriented,
• Strong negotiation, coordination, and presentation skills,
• Desire to work in a high-growth startup, fast-changing environment.
