About the job Business Development – Technical Sales

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or another business-related discipline is required. A degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Geology, Geophysics, or Reservoir Engineering (GGRE) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technical sales, business development, or account management.
  • Candidates with experience in the oil & gas industry will be given strong preference; however, applicants with relevant experience in engineering services, industrial technology, energy, software, or other B2B technical industries are welcome to apply.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.

Job Descriptions :

  • Drive business growth by promoting technical products and services to upstream Oil & Gas clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and execute strategic sales initiatives.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial discussions.
  • Manage tender activities, including pre-qualification, proposal submission, clarification meetings, and commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and international partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor sales pipeline, market trends, and customer satisfaction to support business growth.

Additional Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in B2B Technical Sales, preferably in Oil & Gas software, engineering consulting, digital solutions, or subsurface technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Graduated from a reputable university.
  • Experience working with international technology providers or engineering service companies.
  • Experience leading small teams or coordinating cross-functional projects.
  • Knowledge of commercial contract negotiation, project management, and risk management.
  • Existing professional network within Indonesia's upstream Oil & Gas industry is an advantage.
