Functie omschrijving Technical sales engineer

Als Technical sales engineer maak je onderdeel uit van het Sales en Marketing team bestaande uit acht collega's met elk een eigen aandachtsgebied. In jouw functie ga jij je focussen op de sales trajecten gericht op grootschalige AV en I(C)T projecten aan boord van de superjachten. Dit kunnen zowel nieuwbouw als refit projecten zijn. De functie Technical sales engineer biedt een interessante combinatie van technische, creatieve en commerciële taken.

Zo ben je allereest verantwoordelijk voor het vertalen van de klantwens naar een technisch ontwerp met daarin hardware en services passend binnen de kwaliteitsstandaarden van ONEXP en het eisenpakket. Vanuit jouw kennis en creatieve blik op het ontwerpen van high-end systemen weet jij de verwachtingen van de klant te overstijgen. Waar nodig roep je de hulp in van de AV of IT Specialisten. Zo komen jullie samen tot de beste oplossing!

Naast het creatieve en technische aspect kent de functie van Technical sales engineer ook een commerciële kant. Zo maak jij de calculaties en verwerkt deze in een offerte waarin je de klant in duidelijk bewoordingen uit gaat leggen wat je aanbiedt en wat de voordelen hiervan zijn.

Voor toelichting of vragen over de offerte zullen klanten ook met jou schakelen. Het onderhouden van de klantrelatie is dus ook een belangrijk onderdeel in deze functie. ONE streeft in ieder project naar een optimale klantbelevenis en het leveren van hoge kwaliteit dienstverlening.

Verder is het belangrijk dat je op de hoogte bent en blijft van de nieuwste producten, laatste technologische ontwikkelingen en technische mogelijkheden op het gebied van AV en IT.

Profiel van de ideale kandidaat

• M/HBO werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur een afgeronde mbo of hbo opleiding in de richting van Elektrotechniek, IT, Technische Bedrijfskunde, of Media Technologie;
• Je hebt een passie voor (AV en IT) technologie. Je bent in staat discussies te leiden en tot passende oplossingen te komen;
• Je hebt commerciële skills en kunt zelfstandig calculaties maken en offertes opstellen;
• Je bent handig met het Microsoft Officepakket (Outlook, Word, Excel en Powerpoint);
• Je werkt nauwkeurig en klantgericht en bent communicatief sterk in zowel de Nederlandse als Engelse taal.

Job Description: Technical sales engineer

As a Technical sales engineer, you will be part of the Sales and Marketing team, consisting of eight colleagues, each with their own area of expertise. Your role will focus on sales processes for large-scale AV and I(C)T projects onboard superyachts, covering both new builds and refits. This position offers a dynamic mix of technical, creative, and commercial tasks.

Your primary responsibility is to translate customer needs into technical designs, including hardware and services, that meet ONEXPs quality standards and the customers requirements. Using your expertise and creative perspective on designing high-end systems, you will consistently exceed client expectations. When necessary, you can collaborate with our AV and IT Specialists to deliver the best solutions.

In addition to its technical and creative aspects, this role has a significant commercial component. You will handle calculations, create detailed proposals, and clearly communicate the benefits of your solutions to clients. Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing clarifications on proposals are key parts of this role.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Professional education level (mbo / hbo), preferably with a degree in Electrical Engineering, ICT, Technical Business Administration, or Media Technology.
• A passion for (AV and ICT) technology, with the ability to lead discussions and find suitable solutions.
• Commercial skills, including the ability to independently create calculations and draft proposals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Accurate, customer-oriented, and strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
