UL Test Lab Engineer

Scope: 

To design, build and perform complex mechanical test work in association with product and project engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Design complex mechanical tests as required by section manager.
2. Build or supervise the building of complex mechanical test fixtures and equipment as required by product and project engineers.
3. To instruct technicians to assist in the aforementioned work as required by section manager.
4. Provide concise and logical reports of test work together with photographs if required.
5. Provide analytical data using analyzers, computers and other equipment.
6. Investigate manufacturing problems.
7. Investigate field return problems.
8. To aid in the selection and purchase of major equipment as required by the laboratory.
9. To assist and aid manufacturing in the resolution of problems arising during day-to-day operation.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Five years as a mechanical test engineer, 2 years of which should be associated with power tools or small electro mechanical mechanisms.

Preferred:

1. Computer literate.
