Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support procurement, supply chain, supplier risk management, and logistics activities. This role is responsible for coordinating purchase orders, monitoring supplier performance, supporting sustainable procurement initiatives, and ensuring accurate data management within the ERP system. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Operations
- Process purchase orders and coordinate procurement activities.
- Manage email communications with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor order status and follow up on deliveries and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records and enter data into the ERP system.
- Support general supply chain operations and administrative activities.
Supplier Risk Management
- Support the company's sustainable procurement initiatives.
- Conduct supplier pre-evaluations and supplier assessments.
- Coordinate supplier evaluation activities through designated platforms and tools.
- Assist in monitoring supplier compliance with company standards and requirements.
- Maintain supplier evaluation records and related documentation.
Logistics Coordination
- Prepare shipping documents and shipping forms.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements and monitor shipment status.
- Communicate with logistics providers and suppliers regarding shipments.
- Support import/export and transportation-related administrative activities.
- Enter logistics and shipment data into the ERP system.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience communicating with customers, suppliers, or external business partners.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to adapt to new processes, systems, and changing business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an international or multicultural business environment.
- Experience with ocean freight, international logistics, or import/export operations.
- Knowledge of supplier evaluation, sustainability, ESG, or supplier risk management programs is a plus.
