Information Systems (IS) Section Supervisor

Location: Buford, GA

Job Objective: Exercise control and supervision of information systems at the Company

Reports to: Vice President Logistics

Supervises: IS Staff

Education, Skill, and/or Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Coursework in business management is preferred. Ten years of relevant IS experience may be substituted for a degree.
• The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and associates. Maintain strong cooperation with company's end-users to improve operations.
• Experience in the administration and development of Domino/Lotus Notes and Microsoft Outlook
• Excellent knowledge in managing and maintaining a Windows network environment with Active Directory and PowerShell.
• Experience in IP Networking, WAN, and LAN.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, schedule, and direct Information Systems Section.
• Analyze PRC (Program Project Request/Change) and assign the requirements and request to Information Systems staff.
• Assign and review the work of network administrator, network systems, and computer operation workers.
• Select hardware, software, and peripheral equipment necessary to run IS department and company.
• Establish and maintain procedures related to project management and improvements.
• Verification and validation of custom software, programming language and system configuration.
• Review and approve all systems new or improvements prior to their implementation.
• Manage the security of Information Systems company assets and license requirements.
• Maintain the security requirements for cybersecurity and related topics.
• Manage documentation processes for the activities related to Information Systems.
• Manage IP networking infrastructure, including LAN and WAN configurations.
• Support other departments by analyzing data using tools such as SQL, Excel, and Source Data Tool (SDT), and Microsoft Power BI.
• Manage and support other departments to automate repetitive tasks using robotic process automation (RPA).
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to support Information Systems improvement initiatives from a  global company's standpoint.
• Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery and data backup plans.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Work is performed in an office and in the manufacturing and warehouse areas.
• Must be able to stand and walk in the plant and warehouse for extended periods to install equipment, troubleshoot problems, and train users.
• Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and forklift traffic in production and warehouse areas.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
