Vehicle Auction Operative

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Auction Operative to join a busy and fast-paced vehicle auction operation.

This is a hands-on role responsible for preparing vehicles for auction, ensuring accurate vehicle information is recorded, maintaining presentation standards and supporting the smooth running of auction events.

Working closely with the Yard, Administration, Valuation and Transport teams, you will play an important role in ensuring vehicles are processed efficiently from arrival through to sale.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in vehicle operations, logistics, warehousing, auction services or a similar fast-paced environment.

Role Details

· Location: Kingswood, Dublin

· Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

· Employment Type: Full-time, in person

· Salary: National Minimum Wage

For employees aged 20 and over, the current National Minimum Wage in Ireland is €14.15 per hour, effective from 1 January 2026. Statutory age-related rates apply to employees under 20.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process vehicles arriving on site for auction.
  • Record accurate vehicle information and update internal auction systems.
  • Photograph vehicles and prepare listings for online and live auctions.
  • Move, park and organise vehicles safely throughout the auction site.
  • Carry out vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are correctly identified and catalogued.
  • Prepare vehicles for sale and ensure presentation standards are maintained.
  • Assist with vehicle collections and releases in line with company procedures.
  • Support stock control processes and assist with regular vehicle audits.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe vehicle yard and auction area.
  • Assist customers, transport providers and members of the public with general enquiries.
  • Support auction day operations, ensuring the efficient movement and presentation of vehicles.
  • Work closely with colleagues across all departments to meet operational deadlines.

Requirements

  • Full clean driving licence held for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Good IT literacy with confidence using computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, particularly around auction events.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically capable of carrying out a hands-on operational role.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and hands-on, with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a busy operational environment.

Experience within the motor trade, vehicle logistics, auctions, warehousing or transport would be an advantage, but the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn are equally important.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to become an important part of a busy vehicle auction operation.
