We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Manager to lead their team of dedicated warehouse operatives based in Rathcoole. This role is Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:45pm. You will be responsible for all elements of the warehouse.
What You will Do
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with companies policies and vision.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilisation.
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
- Liaise with stock control to help reduce stock loss/damages.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, staff reports etc)
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
- Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Understand customer needs and ensure alignment with the needs/commitments of the business.
- Plan future capacity requirements
- Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change.
- Develop and maintain metrics/KPIs, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and training and safety records.
- Ensure that health and safety meet the required standards and that risk assessments are carried out.
- Ensure that vehicles, machinery, and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose.
- Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.
- Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements and customer deliverables.

Who You are
- Proven work experience in Warehouse & Transport
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills
