Job Title: Depot Manager
Location: Dublin 15
Job Summary: Our client , a leading Irish Wholesale Food Supplier is hiring a Depot Manager to join their team in Dublin 15. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, managing warehouse staff, implementing inventory control systems and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods in a timely and efficient manner. - Staff Supervision & Training:
Manage a team of warehouse employees. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards. - Inventory Control:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock audits to ensure the correct quantity of goods is available. Implement strategies to optimise inventory turnover and minimise waste or damage. - Safety & Compliance:
Ensure the warehouse complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Enforce safe working practices and conduct regular safety audits and training. - Process Optimisation:
Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes. - Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all products are stored and handled in accordance with quality control standards. Oversee the inspection and condition checks of incoming and outgoing goods. - Logistics Coordination:
Work closely with logistics and transportation teams to coordinate the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. - Reporting:
Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, order fulfilment, and staff productivity. Use data to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years strong experience in a similar role is essential in warehouse operations.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, warehouse procedures, and best practices.
- End-to-end supply chain understanding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & warehouse management software and inventory software.
- A degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
