We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Controller for our well-established client in the catering industry. 


Responsibilities:

  • Manage any product quality issues from initial complaint to resolution with the Manufacturer.
  • Manage and maintain product spec sheets:
  • Ensuring all products have up-to-date spec sheets;
  • Helping formulate spec sheets; assisting with the set-up of new products and sign-off sheets;
  • Setting up new products into ERP.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards set by the company:
  • Inspecting and testing products randomly as it comes into the warehouse;
  • Collecting samples and comparing quality against their spec sheet (weighing, measuring, etc.);
  • Ensuring onboarding check-ups for all new products.
  • Suppliers compliance: ensuring they have the required certificates and are up to date.
  • Manage customer requests for certificates, specs sheets, etc.
  • To carry out daily walkable audits, to ensure the sites are maintained as per the requirements of ISO & BRC standards
  • To carry out monthly warehouse hygiene & housekeeping audits
  • Sending out samples to Suppliers.
  • Testing and approving samples for new products before new orders.
  • Health and Safety (Bonus but not essential).
  • Product design (Bonus but not essential).
  • New product development (Bonus but not essential).


Hours

  • This role will be part-time. It can either be 5 mornings or 3 days.


Start date

  • ASAP


Requirements:

  • Approx. 10 years of experience
  • Able to run the Quality Department 


Salary:

  • Depending on experience
