Job Overview:

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a clear strategy to generate new business opportunities, drive growth, and maintain strong customer relationships. Your primary focus will be to build a self-generated sales pipeline, meet individual and team targets, and deliver exceptional service across all stages of the sales process, with a particular emphasis on the payments industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Lead Generation:

  • Develop and implement a clear strategy for generating new business at all stages of the sales process.
  • Build and manage a self-generated sales pipeline to meet personal and team weekly targets.
  • Identify customer needs effectively to maximize opportunities within a broad selection of payment options

Customer Engagement & Conversion:

  • Engage with prospective customers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of our products and services.
  • Maintain an adequate lead-to-conversion rate through positive customer interactions and effective communication.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both prospective and existing customers

Data Capture & Reporting:

  • Accurately capture and log required data in the appropriate systems.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks and reports are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Ensure all activities comply with GDPR, AML/KYC, Risk, and Compliance guidelines.

Product & Industry Knowledge:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's full product portfolio.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technical developments, and competitor activities to provide expert insights.

Collaboration & Growth:

  • Leverage the full range of offerings from 15+ banking and payment processors to grow the client list and maximize potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the team to drive collective growth and meet organizational objectives.

Key Requirements:

Experience:
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in merchant services, banking, utility sales, or a proven track record in achieving sales targets within B2B service-based industries.
  • Previous experience working with payments, financial products, or technology solutions is highly advantageous.
  • Exhibit exceptional track record in identifying and prospecting new business opportunities.
  • Ability to converse with decision makers, business owners, accountants & advisors
  • Ability to secure payment services for Irish & UK clients utilising Open Banking or 15+ different banks/processors offering massively increased earning opportunity when compared with the limited choices of many competitors
