We are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Team Manager for our well-established customer. 

You will be responsible for 6 staff members and report to the Sales Director, you will be a key member of the strategic growth development plan in this exciting industry.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the daily activities of the team members.
  • Defining, implementing, and innovating sales plans and reviewing on a regular basis so as to ensure team members are following agreed paths.
  • Agree on actions to be taken if sales plans/targets are not being achieved.
  • Reviewing customer contacts and use by all of the company's CRM systems.
  • Review existing customer development and new customer opportunities with team members and agree on an action plan.
  • Identifying training needs (both product and personal).
  • Working with the sales director in setting sales goals and objectives.
  • Mentoring staff to help them develop their sales/knowledge skills enabling them to provide a high standard of service to our customers.
  • Ensuring regular contact is made with key customers by the sales team and reviewing on a regular basis the call reports.
  • Review the run structure to ensure sales calls are made in the most cost-efficient way possible and that enough time is made available for key customers.
  • Reviewing the service levels we offer our customers to ensure they remain central to any improvements we look to make.
  • Ensuring any new brands/products that are introduced that the sales teams are fully briefed, trained, and have all necessary tools to let them sell into the market.
  • Identifying individual skills of each team member and how best to use these within the business offering the necessary training where required.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Creating a cooperative peaceful atmosphere for everyone to work in and stay motivated to achieve their goals

Applicant skills:

  • The successful applicant must have a proven track record in sales management with key attributes as follows:
  • Be results oriented with a proven track record of strategic planning and thinking to allow for the successful implementation of sales plans
  • Ability to motivate, train, mentor, delegate, and guide team members.
  • Strong proven skills in the use of IT equipment and relevant Outlook / Teams programs particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to understand what motivates our team members and makes them want to come to work and seek success each day.
  • Have the skills to challenge each team member in a positive constructive way to keep achieve their goals.
  • Have soft skills such as active listening to the team members to hear and understand what theyre being told and help the team member accordingly.
  • Ability to clearly plan and structure daily, weekly, monthly activities.
  • Have strong training skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the growth of the business by using the sales data information available to help in forecasting revenue generation and making data-driven decisions.
  • Conflict resolution skills.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3+ years management/ leadership experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are able to guide the team through both good and hard times.
  • Fluent English.
  • A full clean driving license as travel may be required for this role.
  • Must be flexible Occasional travel and overnight stays will be part of this role.


Experience:

  • A business management qualification is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience with working with sales reps in order to build and grow key relationships with stakeholders.
  • Training and development experience in a team preferable.
