This job description outlines some of the duties and responsibilities that are associated with your role but it is by no means an exhaustive list and may be amended as the management of the company directs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a high volume of maintenance sites. Manage any incoming small landscape works from existing maintenance clients or third parties. Review for requests, supply quotes and organize works plus supervision maintenance sites. Direct specific works to other Contracts Managers where relevant.
- Coordinate with the rest of the management team to ensure clients are communicated with in a timely fashion with regards to acknowledging additional works requests, providing quotations, organizing works on site, and providing dates for work completion.
- Ensure crews are carrying out work in accordance with the scope and schedules of work. Visit sites to ensure crews are working to the best of their ability to provide guidance and advice in relation to the work being carried out. Undertake manual labor if required in order to support a crew or demonstrate how work should be done.
- Monitor individual performance, attendance, and attitude. Escalate any individual issues to the Contracts Manager and the Human Resources Department. Seek advice and act in an ethical manner at all times.
- Be the first point of contact for the crews should there be any issues or obstacles that may need to be overcome. Resolve client and crew problems on a daily basis.
- Ensure staff under your remit have the appropriate tools and equipment to carry out their duties in a professional manner.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports as required by the clients and Operational Managers in relation to site visit reports, vehicle reports, audits, etc. Complete these reports using the E-Forms system.
- Discuss workloads and plan schedules alongside the Operational Manager and Maintenance Director. Discuss any technical issues in relation to E-Forms.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership experience is essential for this role.
- Good plant knowledge so as to be familiar with the best ways to seasonally manage trees and shrubs on sites.
- Excellent planning and time management skills in order to structure each day to work to your maximum ability.
- Organisational skills are key to ensuring you manage your crews and sites with a coordinated approach, guaranteeing all jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner to clients' expectations.
- Possess strong leadership skills in order to demonstrate the ways of working that is expected from crews.
- Ability to work on own initiative and create new and improved ways of working.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build up strong relationships with existing clients and potential new customers.
- Valid Safe Pass Essential.
- Full clean Driving Licence.
Salary:
- 40k - 44k DOE
