We are looking to recruit an experienced Training Specialist (Sales) to join a well-known established utility company.
Responsibilities:
- You will support, motivate and develop the field sales team to drive sales performance utilising current material, while also creating new and engaging content.
- The Training Specialist will work closely with the Head of Field Sales, HR, and the wider Management Team.
- You must be enthusiastic about selling and sales techniques and have proven experience in a Sales / Cold Calling background, in a fast-paced environment.
- While most of the training will take place in person in our Head Office, you will also be required to travel nationwide and utilise online platforms to provide additional support and training interventions.
- Maintain and further develop our onboarding program for new hires to ensure their success within a dynamic sales environment
- Create structures to ensure that refresher training and continuous development are provided
- Design, develop and lead future development initiatives that support the growing business needs
- Support in-field development and training initiatives
- Carry out Training Needs Assessments in conjunction with management teams to assess gaps in training requirements
- Work with a range of departments to identify training improvements
- Ensure all training material is maintained, updated, and consistent with Company goals
- Update and maintain LMS
- Keep up to date with best practice training systems, content creation methods, and delivery practices.
Requirements:
- Previous sales/cold-calling experience; Field Sales experience an advantage
- Proven experience developing successful sales agents
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Experience in designing, creating, and delivering sales training programs
- Demonstrated understanding and application of effective learning strategies
- Stakeholder engagement experience, with a strong focus on coaching
- Highly organised, ability to work on own initiative and be proactive, driven, and enthusiastic
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with people at all levels of an organisation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Teams, Outlook, and LMS systems
