We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deli Supervisor to come join our team. The successful candidate will support in delivering our Fresh Food Strategy across the business and multiple sites.

Main purpose of the job:

Assist management in all aspects of the deli department in various locations including the sales, profitability, waste and quality of all products, displays and customer service. Meet all food safety requirements in accordance with Food Safety regulations and the company policies and procedures. Communicate and collaborate with deli team members in various locations any changes to the range, offers and new initiatives.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the fresh food operation on site
  • Ensure that the fresh food offer reflects companys standards of merchandising, presentation and Customer Care.
  • Responsible for food safety and hygiene at all times and adhering to the policies of the company regarding food compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with the HACCP preventative approach to food safety.
  • Ensure product is cooked to recommended specification and maintained correctly in hot or cold fresh food areas.
  • Strictly follow stock rotation and control, traceability, correct storage and handling of each product.
  • Give full support to all Health and Safety Representative(s) in carrying out their duties
  • Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and Group Management

Required Skills/ Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a supervisory position in a deli or similar fast paced catering environment
  • Must have levels 1 & 2 knowledge of food safety
  • Must be flexible to rotate to other sites when required
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good delegation skills
  • Highly driven with a strong work ethic
  • Thrive in a fast paced working environment
  • Have a real passion for achieving customer excellence within the food industry.
  • A flair for innovation and creativity with food offerings
  • Must have full clean drivers licence and own transport
