An international hospital in Phnom Penh is expanding its medical team and is seeking a skilled General Practitioner (GP) to provide high-quality primary care in a modern, multicultural clinical environment.
Position Overview
The General Practitioner (GP) will provide high-quality primary care, clinical assessment, and treatment for patients in a modern, international-standard medical centre. The GP is responsible for accurate diagnosis, safe medical practice, patient management, and contributing to the clinics continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Conduct full patient consultations and physical examinations
- Diagnose a wide range of medical conditions
- Develop effective treatment and management plans
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with guidelines
- Perform minor medical procedures (e.g., wound care, injections, sutures)
- Provide preventive care, vaccinations, and health screening
- Offer clear medical advice and patient education
Patient Management
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans
- Ensure strict confidentiality and ethical patient care
- Provide referrals to specialists when necessary
Collaboration
- Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and clinic staff
- Participate in clinical meetings and case reviews
- Support the clinics service quality and SOP improvements
- Contribute to a collaborative, multicultural environment
Administrative Duties
- Complete medical documentation and reporting
- Support compliance with clinic policies and accreditation standards
- Participate in training, internal CME, and professional development
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory- Must be a Bahasa speaker (Bahasa Indonesia or Bahasa Melayu)
- Medical degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized university
- Valid medical license to practice in home country or internationally
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a General Practitioner
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
- Experience working in private or international clinics
- Exposure to regional healthcare systems (SEA experience beneficial)
- Additional training in family medicine, ER, or internal medicine
- Ability to speak Mandarin or Khmer (advantage but not required)
