Construction Sales Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Sales Manager to join our clients expanding team. This role is crucial in driving sales of construction project and services, building robust relationships with industry stakeholders, and leading a sales team dedicated to securing large-scale construction projects across Cambodia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Sales Strategies: Formulate and implement targeted sales strategies specifically for the construction industry, focusing on selling construction materials, equipment, and services to developers, contractors, and project managers.
  • Identify Market Opportunities: Conduct market research to identify emerging construction projects, key players, and growth opportunities within the industry. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, including developers, contractors, architects, and engineers. Act as the primary point of contact for major construction projects.
  • Lead Sales Team: Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets. Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented team environment.
  • Bid and Proposal Management: Oversee the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring they meet client specifications and align with the companys strategic goals. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable deals.
  • Sales Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, market conditions, and forecasts to senior management. Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales processes and achieving business objectives.
  • Industry Networking: Represent the company at construction industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and build strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the construction industry, specifically in selling construction materials, equipment, or services.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated track record of successfully securing large contracts in the construction sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards. Ability to discuss technical specifications with clients and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in leading and developing a sales team within the construction industry. Proven ability to motivate and drive team performance.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate complex deals and build lasting client relationships.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Cambodian construction market, including key players, project cycles, and regulatory environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Khmer is preferred.
