Underground Miner Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of underground miners to ensure safe and efficient mining operations.
• Oversee daily activities, including drilling, blasting, ore extraction, and equipment operation.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety among all team members.
• Provide training and guidance to miners to ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
• Monitor production targets and implement strategies to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as geology, engineering, and maintenance, to achieve operational goals.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of production, equipment usage, and safety incidents.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in underground mining, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods, equipment, and safety practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Proven track record of achieving production targets while prioritizing safety and environmental stewardship.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field preferred.
