We are seeking a talented and experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team and contribute to our gold mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering principles and processes, with a focus on extraction and refining techniques specific to the gold mining industry.
Responsibilities:

  1. Process Optimization: Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for the extraction and refining of gold ore, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental sustainability.
  2. Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the purity and quality of extracted gold products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Environmental Compliance: Work closely with environmental and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards, including waste management, water treatment, and emissions control.
  4. Safety: Prioritize safety in all aspects of chemical engineering operations, identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks associated with chemical processes.
  5. Research and Development: Stay abreast of advancements in chemical engineering technologies and methodologies, conducting research and development to improve existing processes and develop innovative solutions.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with geologists, metallurgists, mining engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize overall mining processes and achieve production targets.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to chemical engineering processes, performance, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering 
  • Proven experience in chemical engineering within the mining industry, preferably with a focus on gold extraction and refining processes.
  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, thermodynamics, kinetics, and mass transfer.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex chemical processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices.
