Driller

We are seeking experienced Drillers with prior open pit mining experience operating down-the-hole hammer drills. Our current drill fleet includes DK75 and 650i drills. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety practices and thrive on the challenges and excitement of launching a new mining operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive instructions for drilling parameters and other work procedures, ensuring their correct application. Adjust drilling parameters within specified limits to enhance progress when necessary.
• Conduct handover checks for the previous shift, verifying the status of operations and equipment before commencing the shift.
• Set up necessary equipment for the assigned shift and perform drilling activities and complex maneuvers.
• Ensure compliance with reporting routines and complete all equipment-related paperwork within the area of responsibility.

Requirements:

• Preferably possess drilling experience.
• Possess strong safety, communication, and supervisory skills.
• Experience with down-the-hole (DTH) drilling is desirable.
• Completion of heavy equipment operator training is advantageous.
• First aid or mine rescue training is considered an asset.
