Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain drifter equipment in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
- Execute drilling activities efficiently to support mine development and production objectives.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of drifter machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with mine engineers and supervisors to implement drilling plans effectively.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies during all drilling operations.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and equipment usage.
- Participate in safety meetings and initiatives to promote a culture of safety awareness.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in mining or related field preferred.
- Proven experience operating drifter equipment in a mining or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of drilling techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and drilling plans.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks in a challenging work environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts and comply with site-specific regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in gold mining operations.
- Familiarity with mining software and technology for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of mine safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience operating other heavy machinery in a mining setting.
Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating drifter equipment in a mining or construction environment. However, we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience who demonstrate the necessary skills and qualifications outlined above.
