They are seeking a talented MEP Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems throughout all project phases.
  • Tender Documentation: Compile tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and schedules.
  • Risk Analysis: Identify and manage commercial risks associated with MEP components, providing strategic advice to mitigate potential issues.
  • Procurement: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for MEP services and materials.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contractual matters, including claims, variations, and dispute resolution related to MEP works.
  • Financial Reporting: Monitor project expenditures, prepare cost reports, and forecast future financial performance.
  • Value Engineering: Propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or compliance standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all MEP works comply with relevant building codes, standards, and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor within the property or construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in cost estimation software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP systems, materials, and installation methodologies.
  • Certifications: Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Legal Acumen: Familiarity with standard forms of contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT).
