Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and direction to the organization, ensuring that all programs and initiatives align with our mission to support vulnerable children.
  • Program Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the children and communities we serve.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including donors, community leaders, government agencies, and partner organizations.
  • Financial Stewardship: Ensure sound financial management practices, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation, to support the organization's long-term sustainability.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, advocating for the rights and needs of vulnerable children at local, national, and international levels.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies, and manage risks effectively to protect the organization's reputation and assets.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, preferably with experience in child welfare, community development, or poverty alleviation programs.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading teams, managing projects, and delivering results in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including experience with budgeting, fundraising, and financial reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for the organizations mission and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding of and respect for different cultures, religions, and backgrounds, with a commitment to working inclusively with all communities.
  • Values Alignment: A strong commitment to the organizations mission and values, with the ability to integrate these into all aspects of the role.
