Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly Compensation (after taxes): $1,900 - $2,100 USD
Ratio: 1:5-6
About the Opportunity
Med-Surg / Tele RN will on the following patient diagnoses: Cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular surgical, arrythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation and overflow at times.
Interdisciplinary support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation
Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
Unit Information: Cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular surgical, arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation and overflow at times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care as indicated
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy

- Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Maintains patient confidentiality. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families. Functions as patient advocate
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in nursing required, Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
- RN License, BCLS
- 2 years of Trauma Level I REQUIRED
- MUST be willing to float. Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
- MUST be willing to work weekends (50% of contract)
- Locals are NOT accepted
- IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.
