About the Opportunity

A well-established structural engineering firm in Cincinnati is seeking a BIM/CADD Lead Modeler to own standards development, software governance, and team development across a diverse portfolio of complex structural projects. This is a leadership-level technical role inside a firm that is actively investing in its BIM infrastructure and building long-term. Hybrid flexibility is available.

What You'll Do

• Own and enforce BIM standards across all active projects — including file structure, model integrity, and documentation protocols
• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of firm-wide BIM/CADD standards
• Manage all BIM/CADD software including new version integration, legacy system maintenance, and firm-specific customization
• Create and maintain Revit template files and family libraries to ensure consistency and standards compliance
• Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and technical support to internal modeling staff
• Conduct ongoing education on emerging BIM processes, tools, and industry technology developments
• Coordinate project-level BIM standards with external clients and project stakeholders
• Produce and oversee the production of construction documents on complex structural projects using Revit and AutoCAD

What You'll Need

• Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk Revit — including family creation, template development, and model management
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD in a production environment
• Prior experience managing or enforcing BIM standards across a multi-project firm or department
• Ability to train and lead junior modeling staff on BIM workflows and software tools
• Experience with complex structural or commercial building projects strongly preferred
• Familiarity with construction document production workflows in an engineering or architecture environment
• Proactive approach to software version management, customization, and lifecycle planning
• Strong communication skills — this role interfaces with internal teams and external clients
