We are looking for individuals who are competent, reliable, and proficient in their craft.
The Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of onsite machinery and equipment as befits their experience. The Mechanic will be responsible for running tests, diagnosing, and foreseeing issues, as well as all preventative care practices. You must be able to communicate effectively with others, as well as have a good work ethic. You must be able to work independently, and effectively, with minimum supervision.
Job Summary
As a diesel mechanic, you will perform routine maintenance and all necessary repairs on company fleet vehicles, including: concrete mixer trucks, dump trucks, and any other vehicles or equipment as needed. The ideal candidate for the Diesel Mechanic position will be self-motivated, reliable, and committed towards following safety procedures.

Job Duties
- Responsible for the daily repair and maintenance of plant fleet equipment and machinery.
- Run diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.
- Lubricate machinery, change parts, and perform other routine machinery maintenance procedures.
- Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
- Repair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts and change hydraulic fluids.
- Test drive trucks before and after repairs, as needed.
- Active compliance with safety regulations and staying informed on all relevant safety procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mechanic required.
- Previous experience working in a plant environment (preferred).
- Must have vast mechanical knowledge and previous experience operating on heavy equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to take direction from a supervisor.
- Able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Must be reliable, proactive, and have a good 'Can-Do' attitude!
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry 80+ lbs.
- Able to climb and work on a ladder.
- Operating hand tools.
- Work performed in a plant environment. The position requires exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside.
