Position Summary

Responsible for the delivery of products to include accountability for shipments of products at the receipt of inventory, operating a safe work environment, tracking maintenance of vehicles, and various other duties. (HazMat required) (TWIC a plus)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure orders are delivered in a safe and timely manner
  • Utilize tools and technology provided in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Abide by all DOT and HazMat rules and regulations
  • Manage delivery expenses and time
  • Maintain regular attendance and follows designated safety practices.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and promptly reports any safety accidents or violations to the proper management.
  • Maintain professional image of self and vehicle.
  • Develop and maintain necessary skills to be successful
  • Develop and maintain mechanical knowledge to be responsible for ensuring proper pre-trip and post-trip checklists are complete and vehicle is in safe operating order.
  • Develop and maintain products and services related to the industry.
  • Ensure all mandatory paperwork is completed in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Must have good communication skills
  • Maintain required commercial driving license with appropriate HazMat endorsements and operate vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of and follows DOT rules and regulations, terminal policy and procedures, and any other regulations as required.
  • Follow all DNR, EPA and Safety guidelines while loading and unloading.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Will be exposed to plant production development, indoors and outdoors
  • Exposed to elements cold, heat and humidity
  • Regularly required walking, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, bending and moving about the yard/facility.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • May handle potentially hazardous equipment and materials
  • Occasional testing of equipment
  • Work well alone
  • Must exhibit flexibility, good attitude and dependability
