Job Scope:

We are looking to recruit a Childrens Registered Manager who will be the heart of the home, ensuring high standards of care for children and young people with complex mental health disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral difficulties. The Childrens Registered Manager will lead the daily operations of the home, promoting a safe and nurturing environment that fosters self-actualization and independence for children and young people.


The Childrens Registered Manager will implement trauma-informed practices, mentor staff, and ensure the welfare of children and young people is prioritized in all activities. You will maintain compliance with relevant regulations, manage resources effectively, and create a culture of openness and transparency. Additionally, the Childrens Registered Manager will collaborate with multiple agencies to develop personalized care plans and support the smooth transition of new children and young people into the home. This position is central to achieving the organizations commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Do you have?

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or an equivalent qualification.
  • Commitment to obtaining a Level 5 Diploma within a specified timeframe.
  • At least 3 years of experience within the last 5 years working with children and young people in a residential setting.
  • NVQ 4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services, desirable.
  • Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care, desirable.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or management role within a residential setting.
  • Ability to advocate effectively for children and young people, ensuring they receive the necessary services and support.
  • Strong skills in building rapport and relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required.
  • Full UK driving license.
