Job Scope:
We are looking to recruit a Chef de Partie to support our Sous Chef in overseeing catering functions within our clients Homes and Community Centres. As a Chef de Partie, you will manage a specific area of the kitchen, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality food services and customer care. You will be responsible for maintaining food standards, adhering to Health & Safety regulations, handling finances, and communicating effectively with your team.
The Chef de Partie will also assist in menu planning, ensuring food production meets agreed standards and considering seasonal supplies, market trends, and resident preferences. This role includes addressing special dietary requirements and cultural needs, ensuring residents' dignity and safety are maintained. The Chef de Partie will work 35 hours per week, including some weekends, while contributing to the continuous improvement of the catering services.
Do you have?
- Relevant qualification such as City & Guilds 7051/7062 or equivalent
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Hygiene or equivalent QCF certification
- Demonstrated experience as a Chef, ideally across multiple sites
- Expertise in preparing food to a high standard
- Strong understanding of dietary needs and allergen management
- Ability to accommodate cultural preferences and create diverse menus
- Knowledge of proper waste disposal practices and infection control
- Familiarity with COSHH guidelines and CQC standards
