Job Scope:

We are looking to recruit a Catering Manager for our client, a family-owned care organization dedicated to holistic, state-of-the-art care that enhances the well-being of older adults. The Catering Manager will oversee catering and dining services across multiple care home sites, ensuring that high-quality meals and services meet residents needs while maintaining strict adherence to HR policies, budgets, health and safety regulations, and company standards.

The Catering Manager will lead and supervise a dedicated team, handling work allocation, feedback, appraisals, and both induction and on-the-job training to foster skill development. In this role, the Catering Manager is responsible for producing and managing budgets, reporting on financial performance, and ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality. Regular audits of service standards, as well as handling feedback and managing any compliments or complaints, are integral to maintaining excellence across all locations. This is a dynamic role for a Catering Manager to contribute to an organization that values quality and compassionate care.

Do you have?

  • Proven management experience in the catering or hospitality sector, ideally within the care home setting.
  • Hands-on experience as a chef.
  • Skilled in team management, including work allocation, performance feedback, appraisals, and staff training.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and monitoring performance against budget.
  • Background in quality and service audits, handling compliments, and managing complaints.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC requirements related to nutrition and hydration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of best practices for delivering high-quality, budget-conscious food that meets resident or client needs.
