In order to provide a smooth and seamless transition to the new service, the ideal candidate for the position will make apart opportunity to become familiar with the home care standards by immersing themselves in existing facilities.

Key qualifications for the Commissioning General Manager role include prior experience in managing neurological degenerative diseases, dementia care, and handling challenging behaviors. The Commissioning General Manager must possess a dedication to enhancing residents quality of life, along with adeptness in supervising, mentoring staff, financial management, and generating comprehensive reports.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for the Commissioning General Manager to be part of a dynamic team amidst the implementation of a new clinical management structure and administrative support system. With this framework in place, the Commissioning General Managers focus is on delivering a safe, responsive, well-led service for the residents.

Do you have?

  • Experienced Commissioning Registered Manager preferred, ideally with nursing qualification or experience in managing nurses in complex care settings.
  • It is desirable to be a Registered nurse with current NMC registration and an active PIN.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and be capable of making tough decisions while actively managing staff with a hands-on approach.
  • Experience in supporting residents with additional support/complex needs.
  • Ability to interact effectively with strong personalities within the Senior Management Team (SMT), providing valuable suggestions and making decisions that benefit the service rather than simply being agreeable.
  • Occasional travel required to attend SMT meetings at the head office and conduct assessments for potential service users
