Job Scope:

We are seeking a Director of Care to join our client's team. This role will enhance care quality by leading quality governance activities, including the Trusts audit cycle, regulatory compliance, and best practice standards. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Care will contribute to strategic planning. Responsibilities include implementing the audit framework, analyzing data, and reporting to the CEO/Board. The Director of Care will support Registered Managers in complying with the CQC Regulatory Framework and other regulations, preparing for inspections, and monitoring notifications and audit cycles.

The Director of Care will also ensure the Trusts quality governance framework is upheld, act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, and provide safeguarding expertise. They will lead training initiatives, manage training budgets, and oversee the development of Managers and Service Leads. Additionally, the role of Director of Care involves directly managing Registered Managers, conducting supervisions, addressing underperformance, supporting compliance and safeguarding, and ensuring timely recruitment for service vacancies.

Do you have?

  • Experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities (LD) and autism
  • Commitment to strictly adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures within the service
  • Proactive approach in maintaining CQC compliance, showcasing the ability to drive necessary improvements and elevate standards when required
  • Analytical acumen to evaluate staffing ratios and staff skills, ensuring alignment with the diverse needs of supported individuals and the feasibility of care package delivery
