Job Scope:

We are looking to recruit a Registered Manager for our client's residential care home, which provides support to children and young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). As a Registered Manager, your primary focus is to create a nurturing environment that prioritizes the well-being, safety, and development of the young people in your care, ensuring they are given the opportunity to flourish and reach their potential.

As a Registered Manager, you will lead the staff team, ensuring adequate resources are available in emergency situations, oversee recruitment, and providing effective inductions for new staff. You will play a key role in setting targets, supervising and supporting your team, and managing HR-related matters. Your leadership will guide the team toward achieving objectives while maintaining high standards of care delivery.

Strategically, as the Registered Manager, you will contribute to the Senior Leadership Team, work on curriculum delivery, maintain the Statement of Purpose, and build strong relationships with parents, stakeholders, and the community to ensure the success of the home.

Do you have?

  • Possess a recognized social work qualification such as the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years' recent experience in residential care for children, including 1 year of staff supervision and management in caregiving roles.
  • Strong understanding of Children's Home legislation and inspection requirements, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with local authorities, families, and team members to deliver supervisions, inductions, and training.
  • Expertise in conducting risk assessments, developing care plans, and coordinating reviews with relevant professionals.
  • Proficient in child protection and safeguarding procedures and protocols.
