Job Scope:
We are looking to recruit a Children Registered Manager to oversee a 3-bedroom home. As the Children Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulations. The ideal Children Registered Manager will have in-depth knowledge of quality care standards and children's regulations, alongside a strong understanding of childcare legislation, including child protection laws.
In this role, the Children Registered Manager will be committed to promoting equal opportunities and proficient in planning, organizing, and effectively allocating resources. Strong management skills for both individuals and groups are essential, as well as excellent communication abilities, both oral and written.
The successful Children Registered Manager will work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals, motivating and supporting staff effectively. A thorough understanding of the needs of children with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD), including experience in managing challenging behavior, is crucial. You will also demonstrate a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in childrens residential care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children and young people.
Do you have?
- NVQ Level 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (either completed or in progress) or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in residential child care within the last 5 years.
- Minimum 1 year of experience supervising and managing care staff.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of quality care standards and childrens regulations.
- Understanding of the needs of children with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD), including experience in managing challenging behavior.
- Full UK driving license.
