The Account Executive is a vital link within the Account Management team, and plays a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of digital-first marketing strategies and solutions for our clients. This role serves as the organisational backbone for the team, ensuring seamless communication, meticulous documentation, and timely execution of tasks. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about digital marketing and eager to develop a strong foundation in client service within a dynamic agency environment.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for day-to-day communication.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client queries and requests.
  • Proactively keep clients informed of project progress, potential roadblocks, and relevant industry updates.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of client business objectives and translate them into actionable insights for the team.
  • Contribute to client satisfaction and retention by ensuring high-quality work and seamless service delivery.
  • Support the Account Manager or Director in the preparation of major presentations to Client or internal briefs.

Project Coordination and Administration:

  • Prepare and distribute accurate contact and/or status reports following client interactions (within 24 hours).
  • Organise and schedule internal status meetings and external client meetings.
  • Maintain a centralised filing system for all client-related documents, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
  • Proofread and quality-check all outgoing materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Assist the Account Manager or Account Director in anticipating potential problems and proactively identifying solutions.
  • Prepare & distribute accurate agency briefs across Content, Media and Strategy.
  • Monitor competitive information, advertising expenditure, and relevant industry activity to inform client strategies.

Team Collaboration and Development:

  • Understand and embody the team's vision and actively seek opportunities to learn more about the broader agency vision.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and proactively, anticipating needs and identifying solutions to minor challenges.
  • Proactively communicate with team members, keeping them informed of progress and potential roadblocks.
  • Actively seek feedback and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Participate in team meetings, asking clarifying questions and applying vision principles to daily tasks.
  • Recognise opportunities to add value and actively listen to learn from others.
  • Take direction from senior team members and follow through on assigned actions, managing expectations and flagging potential issues.
  • Recognise personal capacity and seek support when needed.
  • Support the Account Manager or Account Director in client-facing engagements as required.
  • Pursue proactive learning and development opportunities, including training modules, knowledge-sharing sessions, and feedback from senior team members.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and discuss them with the Account Manager or Director before client presentation.
  • Monitor utilisation across assigned accounts, flagging any potential overages or discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely revenue recognition and billing of all completed work.
  • Maintain up-to-date timesheets and submit them to Finance within established deadlines.

Desired Skills & Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2+ years of proven experience in an Account Executive role within an agency or client-side environment.
  • An understanding and keen interest in the digital marketing landscape, including platforms, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Excellent portfolio management, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and agency management platforms.
